A bicycle tour on the nearby Alster is just as possible as a hike through the rustic riparian forests or a pedal boat ride. Located directly in Ohlsdorf is the world's largest park cemetery, in which 1.4 million people are buried, among them the former chancellor and former mayor of the city of Hamburg, Helmut Schmidt. The centre of Ohlsdorf is the historic railway station building, which in turn has an S-Bahn and U-Bahn stop. From here, all the sights of the city can be reached quickly and easily. The distance to the Reeperbahn on St. Pauli is 9 kilometres as the crow flies, to the world-famous jetties and the harbour 7 kilometres.

The restaurant "Ribling" in the Best Western Plaza Hotel Hamburg offers a rich breakfast buffet in the morning. Warm dishes from local and international cuisine are also available from 11:00 to 22:00. Hamburg specialities such as Labskaus with fried egg, various salads, meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, soups, starters and desserts such as cake or créme brûlée are offered.

There are 160 seats available, including on the hotel's own terrace. This is particularly suitable for an extensive breakfast on sunny days. On Saturdays and Sundays a brunch is offered from 9:00 to 14:00. Children up to 12 years pay nothing and the usual price per person is 15,00 €

Ohlsdorf borders Hummelsbüttel to the north, Wellingsbüttel, Bramfeld and Steilshoop to the east, Barmbek-Nord to the south and Alsterdorf and Fuhlsbüttel to the west. The Alster forms the border to Hummelsbüttel and partly also to Fuhlsbüttel and Alsterdorf. The distance to the city centre is only 6 km. The S-Bahn runs this route in 17 minutes. The airport Fuhlsbüttel is only 1.5 km away, whereby the S-Bahn journey takes 7 minutes.

All sights such as the Hamburg Fair, the Miniatur Wunderland, the main church St. Michaelis, St. Pauli, the Landungsbrücken, the harbour and the city centre are also within easy reach. The S-Bahn S 1 + 11 are located directly at the hotel at the station "Ohlsdorf". In addition, there are stops for the buses 172, 179, 39, 607, 170, 270, 174, 274 directly at the hotel.

How do I get to the Hotel?

The easiest way to get to our hotel from Fuhlsbüttel airport is to take the S1 or the S-Bahn from Hamburg city centre to the hotel, for example, if you have taken the train to Hamburg. Passengers travelling by car can use the A7 motorway, which cuts through Hamburg from north to south and passes the hotel just 5 km to the west.
