The seat of the City Museum is the Ancient Town Hall am Laien, which has a permanent exhibition on the history of the city and other changing exhibitions. The Museum was redesigned in 2009. After a devastating flood in 2010, the city archive moved into new rooms in the old school building at Laien 4, and finally in summer 2017 into its own rooms in the Hirschlanden district. Theatre performances are also offered here. The Evangelical Church of Constance, consecrated in 1477, is also located in the city centre. In the Drei-Giebel-Haus, which can be called the city's landmark, you will find the city library and the city gallery. In the centre of the city is the Ditzingen Castle, a former medieval fortress built in the 15th/16th century and the seat of the local nobility. The Speyer church (formerly St. Lambertus) outside the city centre dates from the 16th century and today serves as a cemetery church. By plane: The S-Bahn lines 2 and 6 take you from the airport to Stuttgart main station. The journey takes less than an hour.
By train: Coming from Stuttgart, take the S-Bahn line 6 in the direction of Stadt/Leonberg to the train station in Ditzingen. The journey takes about 20 minutes.
As soon as you arrive in Ditzingen at the station:
Follow the signs "Innenstadt". Walk to the traffic light opposite and then turn left. Now you can follow the hotel route:
You reach the Joh.-Fuchs-Straße, then follow the road over the Autenstraße and into the Hirschlander Straße. Now turn right into the second street, Ziegeleistraße, and then right again into Stettiner Straße. The walk takes about 10 minutes. Of course we can also organize a taxi for you.

Coming from the A81, take exit 18 "Stuttgart-Feuerbach/Ditzingen". Turn left towards Ditzingen. Turn right towards the city centre (large traffic light crossing). Follow the hotel route as follows: Weilimdorfer Straße, Stuttgarter Straße, turn right into Joh.-Fuchs-Straße, then follow the path over Autenstraße and turn into Hirschlander Straße. Now take the second street on the right and turn into Ziegeleistraße and then turn right again into Stettiner Straße. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Best Western Ditzingen. All the staff were friendly and helpful, there was an excellent choice for breakfast, and the room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay there again on my next visit to Ditzingen. Thank you.
