From The Hague, you can easily reach other places of interest in the Netherlands by train or car. A day trip to Rotterdam or Amsterdam should not be missed. Nearby Delft, known for its hand-painted blue and white ceramics, is also worth a trip.

Panorama Mesdag in The Hague is the largest painting in the Netherlands. Experience the magical illusion of the panorama, which was created in 1881.
One of the most famous artists of the Hague School, Hendrik Willem Mesdag, painted this panorama with a view of the sea, the dunes and the old fishing village and the emerging seaside resort of Scheveningen.
From the dune called Seinpostduin, there is an open view over the fishing village with the lighthouse, the North Sea and the beach with its fishing boats, the seaside resort Scheveningen with the bathing carts and the hotels as well as the water tower. The city of The Hague can be seen in the distance.

The famous Mauritshuis Museum is once again open after extensive renovation work. Go in search of Vermeer's “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, Fabritius’ “Thistle Finch” or Rembrandt’s “The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp” in the famous museum.
Numerous world-famous works of the great Dutch masters are on display in the Mauritshuis. In total, the museum houses about 800 paintings, prints and drawings.
Scheveningen, The Hague Beach
The famous pier in Scheveningen is a real icon, attracting many visitors to the Dutch coast every day.

The Royal Palace (Paleis Noordeinde) is the working palace of the Dutch royal family. It is located in one of the most beautiful shopping streets in The Hague, the Noordeinde.
The palace cannot be visited, but the park is open to the public and invites you to enjoy to a pleasant break in the greenery while strolling through the city. It is also an ideal destination for families on nice days. It has space for a picnic and a small playground.

The Binnenhof (Inner Court) is in the centre of The Hague and is a complex of numerous buildings where the Parliament has been meeting since 1446. The Knights' Hall is also located here.
Here, on the third Tuesday in September, the King delivers his Speech from the Throne and opens the new parliamentary year.
You can also visit it on an official guided tour. The inner courtyard of the Binnenhof can be entered without paying admission. Linger a while and soak up the ambience of the politically important ensemble.
