The ibis Wels welcomes you on Maria-Theresia-Straße, near the Wels Zoo and in close proximity to the Wels Exhibition Center. The city center is about a 15-minute walk away. Experience restful sleep in 116 rooms at ibis Wels, all equipped with "ibis Sweet Bed" box-spring beds. If you are arriving by car, paid parking is available in the underground garage. From there, you have direct access to the hotel. We also offer barrier-free access to the hotel and, upon request, barrier-free rooms. Our Welcome Lounge with lobby bar is open 24 hours a day. Originally built as one of four towers of the city's fortifications, it now serves as a museum of historical toys and as the Christ Child's living room during the Christmas season. Horse Racing Track

Horse racing is one of the oldest sports and has always fascinated participants and spectators alike. The Wels Horse Racing Club was founded in 1892. During the summer and autumn seasons, you can watch an average of eight horse races per race day and place bets. The most striking feature of harness racing is the sulky, in which the driver, closely following his horse, thunders around the track at speeds of up to 60 km/h. Harness racing is not only driven, but also ridden.

In the summer, the harness racing track also serves as a venue for open-air concerts.
