The donkey, the dog, the cat and the cockerel are probably the best-known animals in the Hanseatic city. In the heart of Bremen, the bronze statue of the Bremen Town Musicians recalls the popular fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Take some luck with you: you can make a wish by grabbing the donkey's front legs. 

The Bremen Town Hall is one of the most important buildings of the Brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance in Europe. It has been a listed building since 1917. In July 2004, together with the Bremen Roland, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Bremen's St. Petri Cathedral is one of the city's most striking landmarks. Over the centuries the cathedral often changed his face. A visit to the cathedral museum or a climb up one of the more than 90-meter-high towers is well worth it!

The Bremen market square is not only one of the oldest public squares in the city but also one of the most beautiful. Surrounded by many buildings worth seeing, you shouldn't miss this gem in the heart of the city!

The Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum was the first museum in the world to be dedicated to the work of a female painter. The masterpieces on display illustrate the artist’s extraordinary importance as a pioneer of modern painting.

Built in the 1920s, this fascinating 110 metre-long lane houses shops and restaurants, museums, workshops and a carillon.

The Schlachte is Bremen's historic riverside promenade on the River Weser. The best way to explore this maritime mile in the heart of the city is to take a stroll along the water. There are beer gardens and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy the view of the old ships. 

Marvel at over 600 years of art, as well as changing special exhibitions, at the Kunsthalle Bremen.

The Schnoor or Schnoor quarter is one of Bremen's absolute highlights. Only a few hundred metres from Bremen's market square, the unique and oldest district of the city delights both the locals themselves and numerous visitors from all over the world time and time again.

Wilhelm Wagenfeld House, a neo-classical building at the heart of Bremen's 'cultural mile', is a vibrant exhibitions and events centre specialising in historical and future-oriented questions about design and everyday culture.

The Gerhard Marcks House presents the spectrum of sculpture from the 20th century to the present. A large body of the work of Gerhard Marcks, the sculptor and graphic artist from Berlin, are found here.

This footballing temple with its four iconic floodlight masts can accommodate 42,100 fans. To get to Werder Bremen's riverside stadium, the Wohninvest Weser Stadium, in the heart of the city, you can walk, cycle, get the tram or even travel by boat.

The Science Center has over 4,000 square metres of interactive exhibitions from the world of science for you to explore. Discover how a polygraph machine works, challenge yourself to a contest of "man vs. machine", or experience what it feels like to stand in a tilted room. Over 250 exhibitions are waiting to be explored.

At the Focke-Museum visitors can explore the artistic and cultural history of Bremen. The state museum presents a permanent collection as well as a series of changing temporary exhibits.

The history of the world-famous Beck's beer began as early as 1873 at its location in Bremen on the Weser. Even then, it was bottled in distinctive green bottles as the "Kaiserbier".
