Ulm's Town Hall, just steps from the Minster, is a magnificent example of early Renaissance architecture with an opulently painted facade. First built in 1370 as a "new merchants' hall," it was first mentioned as a town hall in 1419. Particularly noteworthy is the astronomical clock from 1520 on the east side. The facade is richly decorated with frescoes depicting virtues, commandments, and vices.
Ulm Minster is a Gothic church in Ulm, famous for its imposing tower, which, at 161.53 meters, is the tallest church tower in the world. Construction began in 1377 and continued for centuries until the church was finally completed in 1890.
