The Escher Museum and the Panorama Mesdag are also located close to the hotel and are just a short walk away. After seeing the sights, you can indulge in some shopping at The Hague City Center and visit one of the city’s many restaurants.

The hotel for museum visitors and shoppers
Due to its location, the hotel is especially interesting for urban tourists and museum visitors. Thanks to its museums and exhibitions, The Hague is also an art metropolis. Throughout the year, the various museums organise numerous exhibitions. The Royal Academy of Arts is also located in this city. The Hague is always worth a visit for art lovers. In addition, The Hague also offers plenty of opportunities for you to “shop until you drop”. Since the Best Western Plus Plaza Den Haag City Center is in a central location, it makes an ideal starting point for sightseeing. Both at the Plein and the Grote Markt, there are a variety of small restaurants and cafes that invite you to linger a while. In The Hague, besides the City Center, there are lots of small streets, numerous boutiques and small shops just waiting for you to discover them. In addition, the largest open-air market in Europe is located in the heart of The Hague. The so-called Haagse Markt attracts up to 25,000 visitors daily. There, you can find everything your heart desires. The market is open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. More than 500 market stalls sell exotic fruits, flowers, clothes and even computer products.
Scheveningen, Amsterdam and Rotterdam
The Hague offers a wealth of tourist highlights. And once you’ve explored them, other attractions outside the city beckon. For example, the most famous seaside resort in the Netherlands – the beach at Scheveningen – is just a short tram ride away from the hotel. The metropolises of Amsterdam and Rotterdam are also just a few kilometres from The Hague and are waiting to be discovered. The city of Delft is also worth a trip. Here, among other things, is the production site of the famous hand-painted, blue-and-white Delft ceramics. You can also follow in the footsteps of Vermeer – one of the great Dutch masters – who was born and died here.
Getting to the hotel
Public transportation is just a short walk away from the hotel, allowing you to travel easily to each of the sights in and around The Hague. Several tram lines connect the Best Western in The Hague to the Den Haag Centraal Station. From there, you can reach the hotel in a short time.
Since the hotel is right on the shopping street, there is no parking there, but there are several public underground garages. If you check in at the hotel, you can park your vehicle in one of these underground garages.
With your own car, you can easily drive to the Dutch cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht or Schiphol Airport in a short time.
The “Grote Marktstraat” tram stop is right in front of the hotel entrance.
