About our Hotel
The Hotel Föhr is located in the western part of Friedrichshafen and is easily accessible by public transport.
The hotel was built in 1978 and was last renovated at the beginning of 2018.
Our 88 rooms welcome you in a modern and stylish ambience.
Many of our rooms have a balcony, from the 3rd floor onwards you can enjoy the excellent Alpine panorama with Lake Constance in the foreground.
We offer our guests free Internet, which you can use in the lobby, in the restaurant and in the hotel rooms.
Parking spaces are available to our hotel guests for 8,00 EUR per night, a reservation is required. You will receive a parking permit at check-in at the reception.
If you arrive with your bicycle or electric bike, you can park it free of charge in a secure room.
The Plaza Hotel Föhr is only 200m as the crow flies from the shore of Lake Constance, so you can always start a bike tour along the lake or into the nearby back country.

The Ravensburger Spieleland is located in Meckenbeuren.

In addition to the local underwater world of Lake Constance, visitors can also admire piranhas, rays, penguins and turtles, just to name a few of the animals.

In Immenstaad and Kressbronn, young and old adventurers will get their money's worth in the adventure high rope climbing parks.
While there are separate climbing courses for small children from the age of 3, experienced and inexperienced climbers can indulge in the adrenaline rush on the various high ropes courses, which are signposted according to the degree of difficulty.

Here it is recommended to visit the historic old town of Constance and Meersburg. Lindau, on the Bavarian shore of Lake Constance, Bregenz (Austria), Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) as well as Friedrichshafen convince with modern culture on Lake Constance.
The Bodenseeschifffahrtsbehörde (BSB) (Lake Constance Shipping Authority) offers various boat trips on Lake Constance for excursion lovers on water, some with special offers such as party boats, boat trips with food to the Bregenz Festival or special offers on the catamaran from Friedrichshafen to Constance and back.
Experience the Stone and Bronze Age up close in the archaeological open-air museum Unteruhldingen.
Here you can visit up to 23 pile dwellings, which were tested years ago under real conditions by local families, as life was then.
Even the UNESCO has recognized this uniqueness of the pile dwellings and awarded them the UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2011.
In addition to the Salem Monastery, which is one of the most beautiful monastery monuments on Lake Constance, Salem offers the Affenberg, an attraction for young and old.
On the Affenberg you have the opportunity to experience up to 200 Barbary monkeys up close and after a short introduction you can feed them popcorn if you wish.

Ravensburg is the largest town of the district of the same name in southern Upper Swabia with well-preserved medieval towers.

Friedrichshafen and the surrounding area itself offers many museums. The best known of these in Friedrichshafen are the School Museum, the Zeppelin Museum, the Dornier Museum and the Zeppelin Village.
The Zeppelin Museum and the Dornier Museum commemorate the glorious past of the aviation industry in Friedrichshafen. Even today, Friedrichshafen is home to a number of
companies in the aerospace industry.
With the Zeppelin Museum, the city has created one of the most important exhibitions on airship history. Parts of the "Hindenburg" can be seen in the museum.
On the Zeppelin Hangar you can observe zeppelins taking off and landing.

The plants in Friedrichshafen can be easily reached by car or public transport. The ZF plant II can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes from our hotel.

Through a selected two-stage selection process, young, talented people have the opportunity, with or without a scholarship, to study various Bachelor and/or Master degree programs.
ZU's second campus was financed by the ZF Foundation ZF Hilft, among others.
Zeppelin GmbH After the crash of the "Hindenburg" in 1937, Zeppelins were no longer built by Zeppelin GmbH in Friedrichshafen until 1993. In the meantime, Zeppelin GmbH has focused primarily on mechanical and plant engineering. Zeppelins have only been designed and built again in Friedrichshafen since 1993.
Over the years, the image of Zeppelin GmbH has changed. Today the following companies belong to the GmbH: Z- Labs Zeppelin Power Systems GmbH& Co. KG Zeppelin NT Zeppelin GmbH is also not far from the hotel.

Salem Monastery is one of the most beautiful cultural monuments on Lake Constance. In the 19th century, the Margraves of Baden made the huge monastery complex their castle.
On the Affenberg a circular trail leads you through the home of about 200 Barbary monkeys. You may also feed them popcorn after an introduction. There are also a lot of storks here
