Your route to the PLAZA INN Karlsruhe North

By car:
Arrive from downtown Karlsruhe heading in the direction of the Adenauerring.
Head in the direction of the Willy-Brandt-Allee (North).
Along the way, the Willy-Brandt-Allee becomes Linkenheimer Landstraße.
Turn right into Moldaustraße.
Then turn right again onto An der Trift.
Then turn right once again onto An der Vogelhardt.
This is where the PLAZA INN Karlsruhe North is.

Arriving from the North, coming onto the B36, take the Karlsruhe City Centre/Kirchfeld settlement exit and head onto Linkenheimer Landstraße.
Turn left onto Moldauer Straße. Then head right onto An der Trift.
Head right again, onto An der Vogelhardt. 
And you will now reach the PLAZA INN Karlsruhe North.

By public transport:
The S-Bahns (line S1) regularly travel along the Adolf-Ehrmann-Bad, which is approx. 1 km away from the hotel.
The buses (line 73) regularly travel along the Neureut An der Trift stop, which is approx. 250 m away from the hotel.

Karlsruhe Castle

Its construction was completed in 1718, and it was to be acknowledged as the centrepiece of the fan-shaped city of Karlsruhe; and for approx. 200 years it was the seat of residence and government of the margraves and later the electors and grand dukes of Baden. Today, one can visit the Baden State Museum in the Karlsruhe Castle, which includes a permanent exhibition, along with other constantly changing exhibitions. You can visit the castle garden on foot, and find a quiet little spot in the shadows of the trees. Or maybe you will explore it with the castle garden’s little train (the “Bähnle”, as it’s lovingly called by the locals).

Durlach

Turmberg

If you visit Durlach, you also absolutely should visit the Turmberg, 256 metres high, and part of the local mountain of Durlach, which marks the northwestern peak of the Black Forest. You can conquer this mountain along various routes. For one, you can use the oldest still operational funicular in Germany, the “Turmberg Train”, or climb the 528 steps across the “Hexenstäffele”. At the top you can enjoy a wonderful view of the plain of the Rhein, over Durlach and Karlsruhe, from the Turmberg terrace. The 28 metre high tower of the ruins of Turmberg is also worth a visit, and tells of times long past.
